Duke South Florida is pulling together an all-star “Women & Entrepreneurship” panel featuring Duke mom, Karin Ajmani, Meg Daly, and Natalia Karayaneva. The event will be moderated by Duke Law graduate, Tanya Smith. Get to know three of Miami’s most successful entrepreneurs at this unique panel discussion!

The panel will follow with cocktails, light hor d’oeurves, and a networking reception.

KARIN AJMANI – Panelist

Duke mom Karin Ajmani is a seasoned healthcare executive and entrepreneur who has committed her career to building companies that expand access to healthcare services and provide greater support for patients. Karin served as President and Chief Strategy Officer of Progyny, a national infertility health benefits company, from its inception in 2015 through 2020, including the company’s IPO in 2019. Prior to joining Progyny, Karin was the CEO of US Imaging, a radiology benefits management company serving self-insured employers and health plans from 2007 through 2015. Karin previously served as CEO of CarePlus Health Plan, a Medicaid managed care plan in New York, where she led the organization from inception in 1996 through its sale to Amerigroup, an Anthem company, in 2005. Karin is a board member of SWORD Heath, a digital MSK company, and has previously served on the boards of Autism Learning Partners and Citra Health. Karin has received numerous awards including being named to Crain’s NY Business “40 Under 40” list and NY Business Journal’s Women of Influence, and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

MEG DALY – Panelist

Meg Daly is founder and president of Friends of The Underline, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization leading the initiative to transform the underutilized land below Miami’s Metrorail into a 10-mile, urban trail and linear park. The Underline has partnered with Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces and Transit Departments. A 30-year sales and marketing veteran, Meg owned First Media Direct, a breakthrough target marketing company catering to the broadcast television industry. She has also held executive marketing and management positions in the public relations, advertising, technology, and real estate industries. Meg has a BA in English from Vanderbilt University and has served on a number of philanthropic boards. She is also chairperson of the Coral Gables Cultural Affairs Board and a member of the Bike305 Executive Committee. For her love of community and desire to serve others, she was recently named one of Miami’s Angels by the Miami Herald.

NATALIA KARAYANEVA – Panelist

Natalia Karayaneva is the CEO of Propy, a Silicon Valley proptech company revolutionizing home purchasing via blockchain. She also serves as a Forbes contributor. An award-winning real estate developer, software engineer, and a serial entrepreneur, Natalia is known for using automation to solve problems. Natalia has extensive knowledge in international real estate and crypto-economics, and serves as a frequent panelist and speaker at blockchain and proptech events globally. Her expertise extends to markets in the US, Europe, and MENA regions. She has a degree in Computer Engineering from Russia and a degree in Sustainable Urban Development from the University of Oxford, and started her first company at the ripe age of 19.
