PAWS Pet Microchipping at The Underline

Join us for PAWS Pet Microchipping at The Underline on Saturday, May 1st, from 7 AM – 3 PM at the Sound Stage Plaza sponsored by Florida Power & Light.

Location: The Brickell Backyard Sound Stage Plaza sponsored by Florida Power & Light is located at the corner of SW 8th Street and SW 1st Ave in The Underline’s Promenade.

This is our second PAWS event and it will provide pet owners with the opportunity to microchip your pet for National Chip your Pet Month! Learn more about why it’s important to microchip your furry friend and how it can keep your pet safe. 

Friends of Miami Animals Foundation is sponsoring FREE microchipping and rabies vaccines to the first 25 pets whose families make appointments. 

RSVP by Appointment: Services are offered by appointment only and pets must be on a leash or in a carrier to receive service. To make an appointment dial 311, choose the language of your preference, and select option 2 for Miami Dade County Animal Services.

By dialing 311 or 305-468-5900, you can get one-on-one personal customer service in English, Spanish or Creole. Individuals with a hearing or speech disability can contact us by calling Florida Relay at 711.

*Documented proof of financial hardship must be presented to receive discounted services. Documentation of financial hardship may include proof of unemployment benefits after the declaration of the state of emergency for the pandemic (March 12, 2020), layoff or reduction of work hours’ notice from employer, approval of mortgage/rental assistance support related to the pandemic, approval for food stamps as of the date of the declaration, other documentation subject to the review and acceptance of Miami-Dade Animal Services at its sole discretion.

Pets are required to have a rabies shot in order to get microchipped. A certificate of proof of pet’s current rabies vaccination is required for pets 4 months and older. If proof is not available pet will be vaccinated at time of service at regular charge.

PAWS (Promoting Animal Welfare Saturdays) is a programming series for pet lovers in partnership with Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department, Friends of Miami Animals Foundation (FoMA), and Friends of The Underline (FUL). Events will take place every 1st Saturday of the month.
