Miami City Ballet presents To Florida, With Love – a series of outdoor performances throughout South Florida including The Underline’s Brickell Backyard. These short pop-up performances are a gift to the community and are inspired by the iconic destinations and neighborhoods that put the Magic into our global City.

The Underline performance features two brief works – New Love by headline choreographer Petra Love, a satirical romp purely intended to make you smile. The piece plays with the dynamics between three competitive young dancers and a ballerina at the height of her career. Corps de ballet dancer Luiz Silva will debut In Perpetuity. Inspired by the beauty of nature and how it beautifully coexists, Silva visualized two human beings capable of dancing in perpetuity, adding that his work is “also reflective of my journey of finding my voice as a Black male dancer in the world.”

The performance will take place at the Brickell Backyard Sound Stage and viewing will be sitting and standing room.

The event is free to the public but registration is required. Masks will be required of all guests. See our COVID-19 rules here.

Getting there:

•⁠ 🚆Take the Metrorail to Brickell Metrorail Station, exit north and walk to Sound Stage, located right before the crossing to 8th street.

•⁠ 🚴‍♂️ Walk or bike (bike racks on The Underline as SW 1st Avenue and SW 1st Street) to Sound Stage, located right before the crossing to 8th street.

•⁠ 🚗 If you drive, please use nearby public parking lots at Brickell City Centre and Publix Mary Brickell Village.
