Join the South Miami Chess Club on The Underline for Friday evening chess in the Hammock Playground Plaza.

The event will consist of matches and learning sessions on life-size chess boards and regular sized chess boards.

This event is free and open to the public. It does not require registration.

•⁠ 🚆 Take the Metrorail to the Brickell Metrorail Station, exit south, and walk toward The Hammock Playground on SW 15th Road and SW 1st Avenue.

•⁠ 🚴‍♂️ Walk or bike (bike racks are located at The Hammock Playground) to The Hammock Playground located at SW 1st Avenue and SW 15th Road below Metrorail. There is a bike path located along SW 1st Avenue.

•⁠ 🚗 If you drive, please use the metered spaces on SW 1st Avenue after crossing SW 15 Road or the nearby parking garages after crossing SW 15 Road and heading south on SW 1st Avenue.

•••⁠👩‍🦼 Accessibility: The Underline is fully wheelchair accessible.

•••⁠💡 COME PREPARED: Bring a refillable water bottle and sunscreen. The Underline is all outdoors!

•••⁠🌧 Rain Policy: If a considerable amount of rain and/or lightning is forecast, we will postpone or cancel the event 2 hours before event start time by email . Or if there is inclement weather during the event, there will be both in person and email cancellation notifications.
