Poems at The Underline

We are happy to launch Poetry at The Underline on display April 23-25 at The Underline’s Brickell Backyard!
Join us for our kick-off event on Friday, April 23rd at 8PM for a poetry extravaganza! The Underline has partnered with O, Miami for a special, socially distanced evening featuring large scale literary projections from 44 open call winners, DJ Hottpants on the decks, a reading by local poet Calvin Early, a special appearance by Bookleggers’ new Bookbike, beer by Unbranded Brewing Company and more!
Every evening from 8-10PM from Friday, April 23 to Sunday, April 25, an LED screen will display a loop of the poems, which were collected by O, Miami through an open call in 2020. Each poem explores the topics of urban greenspace and the subtropical ecosystem of Miami. The projections will take place at the Sound Stage at The Underline’s Promenade, near the intersection of SW 8th St and SW 1st Avenue.
Attendees are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
