Join us for an open-mic storytelling night inspired by people making a difference in our community

Are you a changemaker, do-gooder or work in philanthropy or the social impact sector in Miami? We want to hear from you!

Join us at The Underline (Typoe Sculpture Garden) for an open-mic storytelling night inspired by “The Moth“ in which anyone can share a true, personal, 5-minute story on a selection of themes representing the social impact sector.

Anyone can participate by signing up at the beginning of the night. Selected individuals will be invited to share their story (5 minutes maximum) in front of the live audience. The audience will vote for their favorite story and the storyteller will walk away with a fabulous prize and bragging rights!

Story themes may include:

  • Resilience: Stories of overcoming challenges, setbacks, and adversity in the nonprofit/philanthropic sector, highlighting the resilience and determination of individuals and organizations.
  • Impact: Personal narratives about pivotal moments or experiences that shaped one’s journey and led to significant impact or positive change.
  • Community: Stories that showcase the power of collaboration, partnerships, and community engagement
  • Innovation: Narratives about innovative approaches, creative solutions, and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Leadership: Stories of leadership challenges, growth, and transformation within nonprofit organizations, highlighting leadership lessons learned and inspiring leadership moments.
  • Empathy and Connection: Personal accounts that emphasize the importance of empathy, understanding, and human connection in nonprofit/philanthropy work

Come be amongst your peers and future friends in a casual, judgement-free zone!!
