Join us on Thursday, August 31st, for 2 sessions of the Miami Children’s Museum’s Live Art Sessions: Deep Sea Dyes and Water Rocket! The event will take place at The Underline Brickell Backyard Sound Stage Plaza, sponsored by Florida Power & Light, located on SW 1st Avenue after the crossing of SW 8th Street.

Session 1 Activity: Deep Sea Dyes 10 AM – 10:45 AM

Dive beneath the water’s surface and identify what makes a marine environment so unique. Then, using white oil pastels, bleeding tissue paper, and water, create an ocean ecosystem.

Session 2 Activity: Water Rocket 11 AM – 11:45 AM

Let your imagination fly as you build and decorate your own water rocket using a water bottle, markers, and paper. See how a bike pump and air pressure can make your water rocket soar with a splash!

All sessions are:

• STEAM-Focused, NGSSS-aligned curriculum

• Hands-on activities include supplies needed for each program

• Specially trained educators and enthusiastic performers to bring to life each experience

•⁠ 🚆Take the Metrorail to Brickell Metrorail Station, exit north, and walk to Sound Stage, located right before the crossing to 8th street.

•⁠ 🚴‍♂️ Walk or bike (bike racks on The Underline as SW 1st Avenue and SW 1st Street) to Sound Stage, located right before the crossing to 8th street.

•⁠ 🚗 If you drive, please use nearby public parking lots at Brickell City Centre and Publix Mary Brickell Village.

•••🌧 Rain Policy: The event will be postponed 2 hours before event time in the case of 50% or more chance of rain.
