Pillar Art on The Underline

The Underline’s Metrorail columns are an ideal, unique canvas for artists’ expression and storytelling that supports the Underline’s bold mission of transforming mobility, resiliency, and community.

There are over 1,200 columns along The Underline’s 10 miles. Ten percent (up to 120) of the columns will be dedicated to temporary art as part of The Underline’s Art Trail. With high visibility from US1, with over 200,000 daily vehicles, and hundreds of thousands of Underline users, repurposing the Metrorail columns is both fun and innovative.
