Ride along with Bike Walk Coral Gables for a special Fall treat celebrating the life of Coral Gables founder, George Merrick. This leisurely, educational bike ride includes an exclusive tour of the Merrick home for which the city of Coral Gables is named. The Merrick family story is one of hopes and dreams, hard work and dedication, ups and downs, and, ultimately, the creation of the City Beautiful. Ride down beautiful tree-lined boulevards, past public parks, plazas, fountains and historic landmarks.
Meg Daly, founder of The Underline, will provide a park update from construction to art just before we set off on our fun, family-friendly bike ride to discover Coral Gables The City Beautiful.
This event is presented by Bike Walk Coral Gables. When you check in at Coral Gables Museum, Bike Walk Coral Gables will charge a small tour fee: $10 or $5 for Museum and Bike Walk Coral Gables members and children under 12. Tour cost includes a day pass to Coral Gables Museum.
Cyclists of all levels are welcome. Bike helmets are required for children under 16. Bike rentals and helmets are available at No Boundaries – 220 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables, FL. Be sure to reserve in advance 305-444-3206
