Climate Champs
The Underline’s Climate Champs curriculum is designed to educate Miami’s future environmental stewards with The Underline as a living classroom. Kids and adults will learn more about the diverse native plant and tree species in the many beautiful gardens along The Underline.
Recycle Right
Our Recycle Right initiative educates visitors on best practices for recycling, reducing waste, and minimizing environmental impact. Through clear signage, community outreach, and recycling stations throughout the park, we’re making it easy for everyone to contribute to a cleaner, greener Miami.
Day in the Dirt
Day in the Dirt is a hands-on volunteer activity where participants assist The Underline’s horticulture team with beautifying the park’s trails and amenity areas. Led by our horticulturist, volunteers help with tasks such as weeding, mulching, and caring for the park’s green spaces. Gardening tools and gloves are provided, and participants should come prepared with comfortable shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of hydration. This activity offers a great opportunity to connect with nature, learn about urban gardening, and contribute to the beauty and sustainability of The Underline.
